Job Summary

The Security Executive (SE) will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security operations within a designated bank environment. This role demands a proactive approach to risk management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to implement and enforce robust security protocols. The Security Executive will play a critical role in safeguarding assets, personnel, and sensitive information, ensuring a secure and compliant operational framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Operations Management: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive security strategies and procedures aligned with the specific requirements of a bank environment.
• Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security vulnerabilities and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Access Control: Oversee and manage access control systems, ensuring only authorized personnel gain entry to sensitive areas.
• Surveillance and Monitoring: Supervise the use of CCTV and other surveillance systems to monitor activities, detect potential threats, and respond to incidents.
• Incident Response: Develop and lead the response to security breaches, emergencies, and other critical incidents, ensuring minimal disruption and swift resolution.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and guide security personnel, providing training, performance feedback, and fostering a culture of vigilance and professionalism.
• Policy Development and Enforcement: Contribute to the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Liaison and Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for security-related matters, liaising with internal stakeholders, law enforcement agencies, and other relevant authorities.
• Security Awareness Training: Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for staff to promote a security-conscious culture.
• Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the security budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
• Audit and Compliance: Participate in internal and external security audits, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations and company policies.
• Technology Integration: Evaluate and recommend security technologies and systems to enhance the overall security posture.
• Reporting: Prepare regular security reports for senior management, detailing security performance, incidents, and recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a security management role, preferably within a financial institution or a similar highly regulated environment.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
• Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Strong understanding of physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, and alarm systems.
• Experience in managing and leading security teams.
• Excellent knowledge of security regulations and compliance requirements relevant to the banking sector.
• Proficiency in incident management and emergency response protocols.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reporting skills.
• A relevant degree in Security Management, Criminology, or a related field is advantageous.
• Professional certifications in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP) are a plus.
