The Design Factory is a Singapore-based interior design and renovation company specialising in residential and commercial projects. We are looking for a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our growing team and deliver high-quality carpentry works across our projects.

Job Responsibilities

Carpentry Works

• Carry out carpentry installation works for residential and commercial projects.

• Install wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, TV consoles, feature walls, vanities, shelving and other custom carpentry.

• Read and understand carpentry drawings, dimensions and specifications.

• Take accurate measurements and ensure proper fitting and alignment.

• Perform cutting, drilling, assembly, installation and finishing works.

• Carry out on-site modifications and adjustments where necessary.

• Ensure all carpentry works are completed according to approved drawings and specifications.

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail.

Site Installation

• Carry out installation works at HDB, condominium, landed and commercial sites.

• Coordinate with designers, project managers and other trades on site.

• Protect existing finishes, flooring, walls and furniture during installation.

• Identify site issues and report them to the project manager promptly.

• Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe throughout installation.

• Complete assigned works according to project schedules.

Quality Control

• Check dimensions, alignment, level and finishing quality before completion.

• Identify defects and rectify them promptly.

• Ensure materials and hardware are installed correctly.

• Maintain consistent workmanship and finishing standards across projects.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of carpentry experience preferred.

• Experience in interior renovation or custom carpentry is an advantage.

• Able to read basic carpentry drawings and measurements.

• Able to use common carpentry tools and equipment safely.

• Good understanding of materials, hardware, laminates and fittings.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Physically fit and comfortable working on renovation sites.

• Responsible, punctual and hardworking.

• Good attention to detail.

• Willing to work overtime when required to meet project deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience with:

• Kitchen cabinetry

• Wardrobes

• TV consoles

• Feature walls

• Vanity cabinets

• Commercial carpentry

• Laminates and veneers

• Blum / Hafele / equivalent hardware

• On-site carpentry modification and rectification

Working Hours

Monday – Saturday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Overtime may be required depending on project schedules.

Salary

$1,500 – $2,500 per month, depending on experience and skill level.
