Marine Service Engineer (Separators, Ballast Treatment Systems)

• Provide servicing, commissioning, and troubleshooting for Ballast Water Treatment, Separators, Fuel Conditioning Modules, Freshwater Generators, systems and other equipment.
• Make preparations and complete service jobs efficiently according to SOP
• Provide maintenance, repair, advanced troubleshooting, commissioning, or other related services onboard.
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs to achieve their satisfaction.
• Maintain proper documents for all work and work conclusions
• Prepare service reports for customers’ signatory
• Identify areas for work improvements, including sales leads, technical advice to customers, sharing relevant information to the organization.
• Assist to development and improvement of SOPs. Training peers and customers, assist to develop training material and content.
• Provide information support through company cloud platform or direct networking contacts to share findings to keep colleagues and teams informed.
• Able to respond to emergency service requests and provide timely technical support to minimize vessel downtime.

Requirement

• Possesses at least diploma or higher, bachelor’s degree or similar in Marine Engineering a plus.
• About 5+ years’ experience as marine service engineer familiar with industry regulations and standards, as well as marine mechanical and electrical systems.
• Strong electrical engineering background preferred.
• Well verse in English, both verbal and written.
• Able to work with cross-cultural counterparts and clients.
• Experience from working in an international context and across borders with colleagues and customers from other cultures.
• Able to prepare work reports.
• Experience of working in CRM systems and planning tools.
• Possesses working knowledge of marine separators, ballast treatment systems with electrical, mechanical and automation knowledge.
• Able to travel at office-based time between projects and work in offshore environment.
