Purpose of the role
Network manages social media for interior design firms, architects and furniture suppliers across IG, FB, TikTok and YouTube. Production, design and video editing sit with the delivery team.
This role owns the account and the result. Everything that reaches a client's channel goes through this person: what gets made, what gets written, when it gets shot, and whether it performs.
The delivery team makes the work. The consultant owns the commercial relationship. The Account Manager is accountable for the work being right, landing on time, and growing the account organically. Delivery is the floor, not the measure.
Key responsibilities
Client strategy
- Build the content strategy for each account with the consultant assigned to it
- Take the commercial context from the consultant (what the client sells, who they want, what they have promised) and turn it into a content direction that delivers it
- Set the account's organic objective with the consultant at the start of each cycle, and agree what success looks like
- Bring performance data to the consultant so strategy changes are based on what happened, not on what the client asked for last
- Flag when a client request will not serve the objective, and give the consultant an alternative to take back
- The consultant owns the client relationship and the commercial conversation. The Account Manager owns what gets made and why.
Organic performance
- Own the organic result on every assigned account: reach, engagement, page growth and enquiries
- Decide what gets made based on what is performing, not on filling a calendar
- Track performance weekly and change direction on evidence, not at month end
- Identify formats that work on one account and carry them to others
Visual direction and alignment
- Hold the visual standard on every account. Network works in a premium category and output must look considered, not templated
- Keep each account visually coherent. A feed should read as one brand, not a run of unrelated posts
- Reject work that meets the brief but misses the bar, and say why
Client posting and accountability
- Own the posting schedule for every assigned account across all platforms
- Publish or schedule all content to the agreed calendar
- Review every asset before it goes live for typos, brand accuracy and strategic fit
- Take responsibility for anything published in error, including retraction and client explanation
Copywriting
- Write captions for all assigned accounts in the client's voice, not a house voice
- Write hooks, on-creative text and CTAs supplied to the design and video teams
- Adapt one concept into platform-appropriate copy across IG, FB, TikTok and YouTube
- Maintain a written voice reference for each account so copy stays consistent
Creative deliverables
- Plan the content calendar and pipeline for each account against the agreed monthly deliverable
- Write briefs for the graphic and video teams that are complete enough to execute without follow-up
- Track every deliverable from brief to published, and know its status without being asked
- Run revision rounds with the delivery team and close them out
Shoot scheduling and coordination
- Schedule production shoots with the client and the production team
- Confirm site access, timing, homeowner permissions and scope before the shoot date
- Brief the production team on what the shoot must produce
- Chase and confirm footage handover after the shoot
Delivery team communication
- Act as the single point of contact between clients and the graphic, video and production teams
- Give the delivery team enough lead time to work; escalate capacity conflicts early
- Keep the delivery team unblocked so they are never waiting on information
Client communication
- Own client group chats as the day-to-day point of contact
- Respond within working hours, with no dropped threads
- Manage expectations on timelines and flag delays before the client notices them
Performance measures
Performance on this role is judged on organic outcomes, not activity.
Primary
- Organic creative performance: reach, retention and engagement on published content against account baseline
- Page growth: follower growth, saves and shares across assigned accounts
- Organic enquiries: DMs, comments and leads generated through organic content
- Visual direction: accounts hold a consistent, premium visual standard across the feed
- Strategic alignment: what gets made maps to the account's growth objective
Baseline
- On-time publishing rate across all assigned accounts
- Errors reaching a live client channel (target: zero)
- Deliverables completed against monthly contracted volume
- Shoot dates held versus rescheduled
- Delivery team blocked time attributable to missing briefs or information
Baseline measures are expectations. Missing them is a problem. Meeting them is not performance.
