Senior Principal Process Engineer

NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Senior Principal Process Engineer to support offshore Oil & Gas engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead process engineering activities for concept studies, feasibility studies, FEED, and detailed engineering projects.
  • Develop and optimize process configurations for LNG and hydrocarbon facilities.
  • Serve as Lead Process Engineer for multidisciplinary project teams and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Perform process simulations and prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Utility Flow Diagrams (UFDs), heat and material balances, and utility balances.
  • Develop and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Prepare process equipment and instrumentation datasheets and specifications.
  • Conduct relief and blowdown studies, evaluate relief load cases, and determine flare system requirements.
  • Perform process calculations, equipment sizing, hydraulic analyses, and system optimization studies.
  • Develop process design philosophies, operating manuals, and technical reports.
  • Interface with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of process engineering and design experience within the oil & gas, LNG, or energy industries.
  • Proven experience supporting LNG facilities, LNG terminals, regasification facilities, and boil-off gas (BOG) systems.
  • Demonstrated experience acting as Lead Engineer or Area Lead Engineer on at least one completed LNG regasification terminal project involving FEED and/or detailed engineering.
  • Strong background in process design, process simulations, heat and material balances, equipment sizing, and P&ID development.
  • Experience leading process engineering teams on concept studies, FEED, and detailed design projects.
  • Knowledge of international engineering codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency with process engineering software and simulation tools.
  • Exposure to energy transition, low-carbon, hydrogen, carbon capture, or related projects will be advantageous.
