Regional Alliance Manager

A. MENARINI ASIA-PACIFIC PTE. LTD.

As the Regional Alliance Manager, you are responsible for:

  1. Driving partnership value of existing regional partners and ensuringthat any key issues with cross-functional dimension are addressed and managed.
  2. Coordinating internally with Menarini countries, as well as regional andcorporate business functions, to facilitate the efficient execution of keypartnerships; this includes ensuring that any key issues identified by therespective teams are brought to light and managed in collaboration with thepartner.
  3. Ensuring that both Menarini and its partners meet their contractualobligations, and that all materials required for Menarini’s reportingcommitments are prepared, reviewed, and forwarded to the partner in a timelymanner.
  4. Proactively identifying and pursuing new Business Development activitieswith existing partners, including opportunity identification, positioningMenarini as the “Partner of Choice”, and securing New Business EvaluationCommittee (NBEC) approvals, Non-Binding Term Sheet and contracts.

KEY REPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop a detailed understanding of the contractual obligations, rolesand responsibilities of Menarini and its partners in the context of specificlegal partnerships.
  2. Understand all periodic reporting requirements within the partnership,ensure that the Menarini countries understand their respective obligations andcoordinate with the Menarini Alliance Manager to ensure the timely preparation,review and forwarding of key reports and data to the partner.
  3. Determine which agreements have minimum sales requirements and othercritical requirements. Liaise with the countries to ensure these requirementsare understood, are met within the budgeting process and update Menarinimanagement if actual minimum sales are not being met.
  4. Maintain an open line of communication to Menarini regional partners toensure the timely management of issues as they arise by liaising with the respectiveMenarini Business Functions and country teams and by working with the teams andthe partner to ensure that ‘win-win’ solutions are created and implemented.
  5.   6. Ensure that critical issues are identified early and escalated to seniormanagement for discussion and resolution before they become damaging to apartnership.
  7. Schedule and manage routine meetings with Menarini partners, MenariniBusiness Units and Menarini countries to facilitate cross functional teamcommunication, ensure the efficient execution of key partnerships and to updateboth internal and external parties on progress and execution of keypartnerships.
  8. Work closely with the Menarini Business Development team to ensure theefficient and smooth transfer of new deals to the Alliance team.
  9. Ensure new business development opportunities arising from withinexisting partnerships are identified and communicated to the Menarini BusinessDevelopment team.
  10. Perform all work in a manner that displayspassion and commitment for achieving the best outcomes for the company, thecustomer and yourself.
  11. Maintain good working relationship withPartners, peers and other departments.
  12. Identification of continuous improvementwithin your areas of responsibility.
  13. Perform related duties as assigned by yourmanager.

KNOWLEDGE/ QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS /EXPERIENCE

  • University Degree in a Business or Pharmaceutical/ Medical Field
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical experience
  • Commercial experience in creating and managing partnerships, particularly within a multinational environment and within the pharmaceutical sector
  • Cross-functional experience working with and leading multi functional teams
