DevOps Engineer

Key Responsibilities & Technical Skills

• Perform application deployment, production support and troubleshooting across enterprise Linux environments.

• Administer Red Hat and CentOS Linux operating systems, including system configuration, service management, patching and operational support.

• Manage CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes using Git, Jenkins and Azure DevOps (AzDO) to support automated application build, deployment and release activities.

• Deploy and support containerized microservices using Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher and Helm Charts.

• Manage container image repositories and deployment workflows using Harbor.

• Implement infrastructure and configuration automation using Ansible and Terraform.

• Support enterprise databases including Oracle 10g and MongoDB, covering connectivity, troubleshooting and production support activities.

• Administer and support application and web servers including Apache and Tomcat.

• Support enterprise messaging and integration platforms using IBM MQ and Apache Kafka.

• Monitor and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues using the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana).

• Perform database and system administration activities using tools such as SQL Developer, JXplorer and MongoDB Compass.

• Support production incidents, application releases, deployments and service recovery, collaborating with development, infrastructure and operations teams.
