RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Facilities and Building Maintenance
Perform daily inspections, routine monitoring and preventive maintenance of building facilities, systems and equipment.
Carry out minor troubleshooting, repairs and rectification works for building, M&E and facility-related faults.
Conduct regular facility audits and site inspections, identifying maintenance issues and recommending corrective actions.
Ensure all maintenance works are carried out in accordance with workplace safety and statutory requirements.
Monitor and coordinate contractors and service providers for preventive and corrective maintenance works.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
Attend to fault reports, maintain maintenance records and follow up on corrective actions.
Prepare and set up rooms and facilities for meetings, events and operational activities.
Facilitate interface with suppliers and term/contractors for regular & ad-hoc maintenance activities
2. Equipment Maintenance
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of nursing, rehabilitation and operational equipment.
Monitor servicing schedules, licences, certifications, testing and calibration requirements for equipment.
Act as first responder for equipment malfunction or breakdown and recommend suitable solutions.
Report equipment defects and follow up with vendors for repair or replacement works.
Ensure all equipment remains safe, functional and compliant with regulatory requirements.
3. Landscape and Building Upkeep
Ensure drains, gardens and external areas are free from debris, stagnant water and potential mosquito breeding grounds.
Monitor landscaping works and ensure contracted services are carried out satisfactorily.
Check landscape lighting, signages, schedule timers and power points for proper operation.
Liaise with pest control vendors to prevent and manage pest infestations
4. Inventory and Asset Management
Assist in asset tracking, movement, labelling and record management.
Support stock receiving, inventory control and distribution of supplies.
Monitor stock levels of tools, spare parts and maintenance materials, and arrange replenishment as required.
Assist in space management, storage organisation and disposal or condemnation of assets.
Support goods and donation collection, delivery and inventory documentation.
Maintain accurate inventory and store records to minimise stock shortages.
5. Operational Support and Relief Duties
Cover front office/counter and administrative duties during manpower shortages or staff absence.
Perform driving and dispatch duties when required and if holding a valid Class 3 driving licence.
Assist in vehicle inspections, housekeeping and maintenance checks.
Support storekeeping and logistics activities when required.
Participate as a member of the Home's Fire Safety Committee.
Perform any other duties assigned by Management.
· At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in facilities, building maintenance, equipment maintenance or related fields.
· Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of building services and equipment.
· Possession of a valid Class 3 Driving Licence is an advantage.
· Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office and email communication.
· Able to work in a nursing home environment and perform physical work including lifting of items.
· Able to do shift work, inclusive of weekends
