Job Summary

Lead and manage site teams to deliver water infrastructure projects, ensuring quality, timely execution, and effective coordination between design and site operations. Drive project delivery, resolve contractual issues, and represent the client in all project matters.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary site team including Construction Manager, Contracts Manager, Resident Engineers, Technical Officers, Quantity Surveyors, Safety Officer, and BIM Modeller to achieve project objectives
  • Develop, communicate, and implement water project management strategies in collaboration with the Project Director/Manager
  • Plan project delivery by scheduling time and manpower for Resident Site Staff to meet project milestones
  • Resolve contractual issues to maintain project progress and compliance
  • Lead meetings with clients, contractors, authorities, and stakeholders to address technical, progress, contractual, and permitting matters
  • Coordinate timely and quality design reviews between the Head Office Design team and Resident Site Staff
  • Identify and resolve site issues, critical defects, and punch list items with technical team support to ensure project quality
  • Take accountability for site team performance and act as the client’s representative on all project-related matters

Required competencies and certifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration with the Professional Engineers Board Singapore or Chartered Engineer status
  • University engineering degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience in the study, design, and construction of water infrastructure plant projects, preferably water treatment plants with about 40 MGD capacity
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills in managing Resident Site Staff teams
