Assistant Production Manager – Carpentry & Joinery ( EAST)

Our client in the commercial interior fit-out industry is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to coordinate factory operations, monitor production progress and support the timely delivery of carpentry and joinery works.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily factory operations, ensuring production meets project timelines, quality standards and safety requirements.
Track weekly production schedules and progress, identifying potential delays and coordinating corrective actions.
Resolve production challenges involving material shortages, technical issues and incomplete information.
Coordinate with production coordinators and carpentry team leads to review targets, address issues and prioritise work.
Prepare weekly reports on production progress, performance indicators, outstanding matters and operational risks.
Review and organise construction and production drawings, maintaining accurate digital and physical records.
Manage drawing version control and ensure the latest approved revisions reach the relevant production teams.
Identify drawing revisions that affect material quantities, labour requirements or costs, and highlight them to management.
Support improvements to production efficiency and reduce errors and rework.
Requirements
Relevant experience in carpentry, joinery, fabrication or interior fit-out production.
Hands-on technical knowledge and experience coordinating factory or production activities.
Able to interpret construction and production drawings.
Strong planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.
Familiar with drawing control, material requirements and production quality standards.
Able to communicate effectively with management and production teams.
