JOB TITLE: WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT MANAGER
Job Summary
The Warehouse Assistant Manager assists the Warehouse Manager in overseeing daily warehouse operations, inventory control, receiving, storage, packing, and dispatch of packaging materials and finished products. The role also supports the supervision of warehouse staff and ensures smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in managing daily warehouse operations.
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse workers and allocate daily duties.
- Assist in receiving, checking, and storing incoming packaging materials and goods.
- Monitor the proper storage and handling of packaging materials and finished products.
- Coordinate picking, packing, labelling, loading, and dispatch of goods.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with physical inventory counts.
- Check delivery orders, invoices, stock records, and other warehouse documents.
- Coordinate with the production, purchasing, sales, and delivery teams to ensure timely movement of goods.
- Monitor stock movements and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager.
- Ensure warehouse areas are clean, organised, and safe.
- Guide warehouse staff on proper handling, storage, packing, and safety procedures.
- Assist in planning manpower and workflow to meet operational and delivery requirements.
- Help reduce stock damage, wastage, and operational delays through proper warehouse practices.
- Assist the Warehouse Manager in preparing inventory and operational reports.
- Take charge of warehouse operations in the absence of the Warehouse Manager when required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
Skills and Requirements
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory, or store operations.
- Good knowledge of stock control and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate warehouse workers.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
- Responsible, reliable, and safety-conscious.
