EQUATORIAL MARINE FUEL MANAGEMENT SERVICES PTE. LTD.
The MarineManager oversees and manages Company’s fleet of tankers, provide marine relatedinput and advice, coordinates ships owned/managed by the Company and liaisewith others to ensure Company’s fleet of tankers are run efficiently andsafely. This person plays akey role in optimizing vessel operations, bunker efficiency, and fleetperformance. Working closely with the Company’s Management team, this roleis ideal for a Master Mariner with strong technical and leadershipskills.
Job Description
- Ensure alloperational and safety requirements of terminals, charterers, customers as wellas international and local regulations are met.
- Ensure allrequirements of the marine management and navigation audits and inspections aremet.
- Arrangeand manage audits and inspections required by the recognised organisation (RO)– ISM, ISPS and MLC.
- Arrangeand manage vetting inspections, including submissions onto the OCIMF SIREonline platform.
- Ensure that seastaff are proficient in the performance of their duties and understanding ofthe Safety Management System through continuous evaluation through continuousevaluation, training and feedback.
- Ensure that allmarine operations are safely and effectively performed, in accordance with theSafety Management System.
- Ensure that thevessels’ onboard notices and publications are up-to-date.
- Ensure that allequipment and machinery for cargo operations and navigation are properly andpunctually maintained, serviced, repaired and replaced as appropriate.
- Ensure that allaccidents/incidents are investigated, root-causes determined, and correctiveand preventive actions implemented and enforced.
- Propose andimplement plans to comply with impending international and local marineoperations, safety and pollution-prevention regulations and requirements.
- Monitor andupdate Fleet Manager / Director on the vessels’ operational and safetyperformance.
- Communicate andcoordinate with terminal, charterers, customers and other third partiesregarding marine operations and inspections where required.
- Coordinate withP&I insurers regarding surveys of the vessels.
- Deploy anddelegate duties to subordinates.
- Request anddistribute resources and shore-based support for the Marine Department.
- Responsible forpreparing and administering the Marine Department’s budget.
- Ensuring thatthe department’s budget is utilised in a cost-effective manner.
- Participate inthe review of the Safety Management System.
- Member of theEmergency Response Team.
- Seagoingexperience as a Master (at least CoC class 1 or 2) combined with at least seven(7) years of experience of shore experience in relation to safety, health andenvironment management and compliance for product or chemical tankers.
- Familiarwith international and local maritime regulations and requirements.
- Strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
