Working Hours & Commitment
- Daily Shift: Mondays to Fridays, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Includes a 1-hour lunch break)
- Rest Days: Off on Saturdays, Sundays, and all gazetted public holidays.

Core Responsibilities
You will work closely with the school administration, teachers, and parents to provide targeted educational, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions for students with special educational needs.
1. Specialized Learning Support & Intervention
- IEP Implementation: Deliver specialized remediation, withdrawal support sessions, and execute customized Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- In-Class Support: Assist students within mainstream classrooms by prompting attention, keeping them on-task, guiding them through routines, and breaking down lesson contents using visual aids.
- Behavioral Interventions: Calm down and withdraw students for temporary "time outs" if they become visibly disruptive or stressed during class activities.
- Resource Preparation: Design and organize customized learning resources, such as visual prompts for mild Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) profiles and differentiated worksheets for students with dyslexia.
2. Skills Training & Student Welbeing
- Skills Development: Conduct targeted training in essential student skills including handwriting, workplace/desk organization, anger management, adapting to routine changes, and queuing up.
- Social Integration: Set up peer support programs (e.g., "Circles of Friends") and run pre-orientation tours to help students with ASD adjust to new environment changes like class upgrades or new teachers.
- Progress Tracking: Administer specialized progress monitoring tools and systematically compile case intervention records.
3. Stakeholder Consultation & Collaboration
- Advisory Channels: Act as a core consultant to provide teachers and parents with insights on student progression and tips for home-school reinforcement.
- Case Synchronization: Coordinate, contribute to, and update comprehensive findings during school case conferences.
- External Synergy: Collaborate with special education institutions and external multi-agency professionals to manage holistic support pathways.
Job Requirements
- Education: Preferably a Diploma in Special Education or an equivalent professional certification.
- Mainstream Experience: Ideally 3 years of similar working experience inside MOE mainstream schools supporting students with known or suspected special educational needs.
- Intervention Expertise: At least 3 years of hands-on experience preparing and conducting structured dyslexia intervention programs or similar specialized remediation schemes.
- Key Attributes: Strong collaborative mindset, excellent interpersonal communication skills, emotional resilience, and a deep-seated passion for guiding young children with diverse needs.
