Job Description – Modular ACMV Installer / Modular Fitter

Job Overview

The Modular Fitter is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, and fitting of ACMV (Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) modular systems, ducting supports, pipe supports, equipment frames, and related mechanical components at workshops and project sites.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble and install ACMV modular components according to approved shop drawings and specifications.

Carry out fitting, alignment, and installation of duct supports, pipe supports, brackets, and mechanical structures.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation plans.

Perform measuring, marking, cutting, drilling, and fitting works.

Assist welders during fabrication and installation activities.

Ensure all modules are installed accurately and within project schedule.

Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades on-site.

Conduct quality checks on completed work before handover.

Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

Comply with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements and company safety procedures.

Attend toolbox meetings and safety briefings as required.

Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in ACMV, mechanical, piping, or modular installation works.

Ability to read and understand construction and fabrication drawings.

Experience in fitting, fabrication, and installation of steel structures, supports, ducts, or piping systems.

Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, cutting, and grinding equipment.

Welding knowledge is an added advantage.

Physically fit and able to work at construction sites.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Possession of relevant safety certificates is preferred.

Preferred Skills

ACMV installation experience.

Ducting and pipe support installation.

Mechanical fitting and alignment.

Modular construction experience.

Ability to coordinate with project teams and site personnel.

Salary Range

Depending on experience and skills. S$4200 to S$4800

Higher salary may be considered for candidates with ACMV modular fabrication and installation experience.

Candidates with prior ACMV, ducting, piping support, or modular construction experience will be preferred as they can contribute immediately to site productivity and project completion targets.
