Loans Officer (Contract)

Commercial banks with an extensive global network, we are now seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Operations Department as a Loans Officer.

Job Responsibilities

1. Accurately interpret the Facility Agreement / Letter of Offer in determining the allowance of requested transactions.
2. Perform all aspects of loan drawdowns, rollovers, and collection of principal repayments and interest payments, as well as fees for both bilateral and syndicated loans.
3. Interact with Relationship Managers when required in following up on outstanding matters and/or documentation from them.
4. Perform AML / KYC checks.
5. Prepare SWIFT payments for loan disbursements.
6. Ensure proper record and safe keeping of loan-related documents.
7. Process Bank Guarantees / Letters of Credit.
8. Prepare local, regulatory and HO reports.
9. Work with IT Teams on system upgrades and UAT roll-outs.
10. Take on work-related projects and other duties as assigned by HOD / Management.

Requirements

1. 3 or more years of working experience in handling credit documentation and loan administration.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
3. Meticulous and detail-oriented.
4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
5. Strong organisational and time management skills and ability to multitask.
6. Strong computer skills including MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.
7. Pleasant personality, good working attitude and proactive.
