Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to electrical codes and blueprints.
• Assemble, test, and maintain electrical systems and components.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical faults in equipment and wiring.
• Repair or replace faulty wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper lockout/tagout procedures.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and manuals.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineers on electrical projects.
• Maintain records of work done and materials used.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to avoid electrical breakdowns.

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Electrical Fitter or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety practices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical diagrams.
• Proficient with electrical tools and testing equipment.
• Understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Physical ability to handle tools and equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Relevant certifications or licenses (depends on region/job requirements).

Working Conditions

• Work may be indoors or outdoors in industrial or construction settings.
• May require standing, bending, and lifting heavy equipment.
• Use of protective gear (helmets, gloves, etc.) is mandatory.
• May involve shift work or overtime depending on project demands.
