Resident Technical Officer (RTO - Civil & Structural/Geotechnical)
Responsibilities
- Supervise construction works of complex projects including buildings, tunnels, deep excavations, and foundations to ensure compliance with design and safety standards
- Install and manage monitoring instruments and accurately collate monitoring data for project assessment
- Apply knowledge of statutory codes and site supervision requirements to enforce quality control and construction administration
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports to track project milestones and issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records documenting work progress and compliance
- Proactively identify, resolve, and manage site issues to minimize delays and promote a collaborative team environment
- Adapt to shift work schedules to support continuous site operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical disciplines from a recognized Polytechnic or equivalent institution
- Accreditation by the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES)
- Valid Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course certificate
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience as an RTO supervising works of similar complexity
