Job Title: KYC/AML (Bank) Compliance Officer – CDD/EDD

Role & Responsibilities

1. Conduct CDD and EDD reviews for new and existing high-risk individual and corporate clients, including private limited companies, trusts, funds, VCCs, SWIFT RMA and correspondent banking relationships.
2. Review client documentation and information to ensure compliance with MAS regulations and internal KYC procedures, and prepare compliance reports.
3. Provide KYC/CDD advisory to Business Units on AML, FATCA and CRS matters.
4. Identify suspicious activities and transactions during KYC reviews and ensure timely reporting to the relevant authorities.
5. Prepare daily and monthly AML reports, monitor KYC review completion, maintain KYC registers and incomplete CDD trackers, and support management reporting.
6. Assist with KYC/CDD briefing sessions for Business Units, audit requests and other compliance-related duties.
7. Keep abreast of AML regulations, sanctions, industry best practices and emerging financial crime trends.
8. Identify opportunities to improve KYC processes and controls, and undertake other ad hoc duties as required.

Requirements

1. 3–5 years of financial services experience, including at least 2 years in an AML/KYC Compliance Department.
2. Hands-on experience in high-risk CDD/EDD reviews and AML/KYC advisory covering individual, corporate and banking clients.
3. Exposure to SWIFT RMA and correspondent banking reviews is preferred.
4. Sound knowledge of MAS Notice 626, its related guidelines, sanctions and AML regulations.
5. Strong research, analytical and investigative skills, with the ability to prepare high-quality reports within deadlines.
6. Good written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
7. Proactive, diligent and organized, with effective time management and teamwork skills.
8. Relevant tertiary qualifications; ACAMS or ICA certification is an advantage
