Job Summary

You will prepare laboratory apparatus and assist teachers during experiments, maintain lab cleanliness and equipment, manage Science Corners and gardens, and support science activities and recycling programs in a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare science laboratory apparatus accurately to support teachers during experiments
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of laboratory equipment to ensure a safe learning environment
• Conduct biannual stocktaking of laboratory supplies and equipment to maintain inventory accuracy
• Manage Science Corners, hydroponics, and vertical gardens by performing tasks such as harvesting and transplanting plants
• Support science activities during recess to facilitate student engagement and learning
• Assist with the Thursday recycling programme to promote environmental awareness among students
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with teachers and team members to support science education activities
• Organise tasks and multitask efficiently to manage laboratory and garden responsibilities within scheduled hours
• Use Microsoft Office applications to document and report laboratory activities and inventory status (preferred)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Previous experience working in a school science laboratory
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

• Mondays to Fridays, 7: 30am to 1:30pm
