Solution Design and Technical Assurance: Lead requirements analysis, solution options, high-level and low-level design reviews, architecture decisions, migration strategies, and technical approvals for complex network initiatives.
Network and Security Architecture: Design and govern enterprise network solutions across data centres, campus and branch networks, WAN/SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, wireless, remote access, routing and switching, firewalls, segmentation, and application traffic management.
Architecture Governance and Compliance: Establish reference architectures, engineering standards, reusable design patterns, and technical controls to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, regulatory, lifecycle, and change-management requirements.
End-to-End Project Delivery: Lead network workstreams from requirements gathering and design through procurement, implementation, testing, migration, cutover, stabilisation, and project closure across multiple APAC countries and sites.
Implementation Planning and Readiness: Manage delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, implementation readiness, test strategies, rollback procedures, technical risks, and acceptance criteria to ensure controlled implementation.
Operational Readiness and Service Handover: Ensure solutions meet availability, performance, security, monitoring, disaster recovery, documentation, support, and operational acceptance requirements, including runbooks, escalation procedures, and remediation of outstanding defects.
Vendor and Commercial Management: Evaluate network technologies, products, proposals, and proofs of concept; validate technical scope, licensing, sizing, interoperability, supportability, lifecycle, and total cost of ownership.
Architecture Optimisation and Automation: Drive network standardisation, technical debt reduction, resilience improvements, configuration consistency, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and integration with cloud, security, monitoring, and IT service management platforms.
Technical Governance and Capability Development: Lead architecture and design-review forums, maintain architecture decision records and reusable documentation, mentor network architects and senior engineers, and incorporate operational lessons into architecture standards.
Requirements
Relevant Experience: Minimum 10–15 years of enterprise networking experience, including significant experience in network solution architecture, technical design authority, or architecture leadership.
Enterprise Network Architecture: Demonstrated experience designing large-scale, highly available network solutions across data centres, campus and branch networks, WAN/SD-WAN, Internet connectivity, wireless, cloud, and network security.
Core Networking Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of routing and switching, BGP, OSPF, QoS, multicast, VPN, high availability, segmentation, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, load balancing, and network access control.
Enterprise Technology Platforms: Hands-on architecture experience with technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, F5, Meraki, Zscaler, and Cisco ISE, or equivalent enterprise platforms.
Cloud, Security and Automation: Experience integrating networks with public cloud, SaaS, identity, security, monitoring, and ITSM platforms. Knowledge of APIs, network automation, Infrastructure as Code, configuration management, observability, and SRE principles is advantageous.
Architecture Governance and Risk: Experience in requirements analysis, architecture methods, technical design documentation, option assessment, design assurance, risk management, security-by-design, and regulatory compliance.
Project Delivery and Implementation: Proven experience delivering network projects across multiple countries or sites, covering planning, procurement, dependency management, change control, testing, migration, cutover, stabilisation, operational handover, and delivery tracking.
Certifications and Industry Knowledge: CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent networking or architecture certifications are preferred. Cloud networking, vendor security, and ITIL certifications are advantageous.
Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated environments, including knowledge of MAS Technology Risk Management (TRM) requirements, is preferred.
