Pharmacy Technician (Hospital/Polyclinic)

Job Scopes

• Assist pharmacists in preparing, packing and dispensing medications accurately in accordance with established procedures and standards. Ensure medications, dispensing consumables and patient information leaflets are adequately stocked, replenished and stored properly.
• Provide medication-related information and patient counselling under the guidance of pharmacists, and escalate potential drug interactions, discrepancies or patient complaints when necessary.
• Monitor inventory levels, check medication expiry dates and stock conditions, and ensure proper stock rotation.
• Assist with medication repackaging, quality control checks and routine maintenance of pharmacy IT, automation equipment and other devices.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and proper housekeeping of the pharmacy premises, dispensing counters and storerooms.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance workflow and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records and provide professional, courteous service to patients and customers while adhering to established pharmacy procedures and policies.

Requirements

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science / possess Pharmacy Technician Certificate
• Good interpersonal skills and good problem solving skills
