Maths Tutor (Secondary)

Job Description & Requirements

• Location: Jurong West Ave 1 (one location only)
• Working days & time: 5-day work week, Wednesday to Sunday (Mondays and Tuesdays off)
• Teaching level: Secondary 1-4 Maths (E-Math and A-Math) & IP Maths, MOE syllabus (Maths only)
• Salary: $4,000 - $4,500 (after confirmation)

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct lessons: tailor lessons in accordance with our curriculum, with a holistic understanding of your students' learning needs, to meet the unique needs and learning styles of individual students.
• Curriculum development: work with our curriculum development team to create classroom learning materials.
• Motivation: inspire and motivate students to excel academically and develop a love for learning. Be a role model for your students and give appropriate advice to improve their holistic development.
• Communication: monitor your class progression and give parents honest, helpful feedback and suggestions on a regular basis to improve the student's conduct or academic performance.

Administrative

• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials
• Check with students on their exam dates, record students' test results, evaluate students' test papers
• Conduct lessons and tutoring sessions
• Assess and evaluate student performance (mark papers)
• Provide feedback to students and parents (prepare parents' class updates)
• Maintain a conducive and disciplined learning environment
• Stay updated with the latest teaching methods and curriculum changes
• Assist in curriculum development and improvement
• Take attendance and arrange make-up lessons for absentees

Requirements

• Teaching certification or relevant teaching experience with the Singapore MOE syllabus
• Strong knowledge of and passion for the subject(s) you teach
• Secondary post: minimum Bachelor's degree
• Minimum 1 year of teaching experience - fresh graduates with tutoring experience welcome!
