Full Stack Developer

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the design and development of the GFM post-trade settlement system, workbench, microservices, and cloud applications.
• Drive discussions with business users to understand and address business requirements.
• Demonstrate commitment to delivering the project on time.
• Collaborate effectively within the team and with technology teams across multiple regions.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java 8, Microservices, and Docker.
• Good knowledge of JMS technologies, including ActiveMQ, Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Apache Camel.
• Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Strong SQL knowledge, including Oracle, MySQL, and MariaDB.
• Experience with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring Cloud.
• Experience with AngularJS or ReactJS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies such as Scrum.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration.
• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining microservices on AWS, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Experience using Docker to create reproducible build and deployment pipelines.
• Experience with Elasticsearch as a search index and ELK for log aggregation and analysis.
• Ability to read execution plans, tune SQL queries, profile applications, and analyse heap and thread dumps.
• Ability to automate repetitive tasks.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenShift, or PCF.
• Knowledge of the ELK stack.
