Senior Business Analyst, Business Application Management

Key Purpose

The Senior Business Analyst, Business Application Management is responsible for the governance, solution delivery, and operational support of SAP S/4HANA, GTS, GRC, MDG, and related enterprise applications across Sysmex Asia Pacific. The role serves as a key liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring solutions are aligned with Global standards, policies, governance frameworks, cybersecurity requirements, and business objectives.

As a regional functional lead, the incumbent champions a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and digital transformation by identifying opportunities to leverage automation, analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, and emerging technologies to improve business processes, strengthen governance and compliance, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver sustainable business value across the application landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Global Governance & Standards

• Ensure all SAP S/4HANA, GTS, GRC, MDG, and related application solutions, enhancements, support activities, and system changes comply with Global standards, policies, governance frameworks, cybersecurity requirements, CSV requirements, and enterprise architecture principles.
• Provide functional leadership, coaching, and guidance to Business Application Management (BAM), Business Process Experts (BPE), project teams, and support teams to ensure consistent adoption of Global standards, delivery methodologies, and best practices.
• Drive process standardization and harmonization across Global and APAC while balancing justified regional business requirements and regulatory obligations.
• Act as the regional custodian for business application governance and ensure adherence to Global and APAC operating models, support processes, controls, and service management practices.

Business Application Leadership & Solution Delivery

• Partner with business stakeholders, BPEs, Business Analysts, application administrators, and project teams to assess business requirements, validate business value and justification, and define best-fit business process and system solutions.
• Lead regional and global initiatives across the full application lifecycle, including business analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, deployment, change management, and operational support.
• Ensure business applications continue to support operational, compliance, and strategic business objectives while maximizing standard functionality and minimizing unnecessary customization.
• Drive collaboration across business and technology teams to achieve successful project outcomes and sustainable solution adoption.

SAP Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)

• Lead and support the implementation, administration, enhancement, and continuous improvement of SAP GRC capabilities across SAP S/4HANA and GTS environments.
• Oversee access governance, Segregation of Duties (SoD) management, critical access monitoring, compliance assessments, audit support, and risk mitigation activities.
• Partner with internal and external auditors, system owners, and business stakeholders to maintain a strong control environment and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

Innovation, Digitalization & AI Enablement

• Drive the adoption of digital solutions, automation, analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, and emerging technologies to improve business processes, application support effectiveness, compliance monitoring, and operational efficiency.
• Identify and evaluate opportunities to leverage AI and innovative technologies across SAP and related business applications while ensuring compliance with governance, cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Global and Regional teams to assess, pilot, and implement new technologies that enhance productivity, decision-making, user experience, and business value.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, learning, and knowledge sharing across the Business Application Management function.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of experience in implementing SAP system.
• At least 5 years as a team lead to manage resources in delivering SAP related implementation and support after system go live.
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, GTS, MDG, GRC, and related enterprise applications, and the ability to govern and manage the application landscape, end-to-end, ensuring alignment with business objectives and Global standards.
• Ability to align business application initiatives with organizational strategy, business priorities, and transformation objectives.
• Proven capability to lead regional and global initiatives by fostering collaboration, building alignment among stakeholders, and facilitating successful outcomes across business and technology functions.
• Capable of presenting options, risks, impacts, and recommendations in a clear and objective manner, enabling Business Leaders to make well-informed strategic and operational decisions.
• Ability to provide functional leadership across BAM, BPE, project teams, support teams, and external partners.
• Strong capability to drive solution delivery, operational excellence, and process standardization in accordance with Global standards, governance frameworks, and best practices.
• Demonstrates curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Actively identifies opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve business outcomes, governance effectiveness, operational efficiency, and user experience.
