Part Time School Counsellor - Yishun

Contract Period: From 1 Jan 2027 to 29 Oct 2027

• Tuesdays to Thursdays: 8:00am to 3:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break

• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and Gazetted Public Holidays and Protected Time during School Holidays

(a)Counselling Work.

(b)Professional development of teachers; and

(c)Equipping student peer supporters with understanding of adolescent issues such as online bullying, stress management and relationship management so that they can identify peers in need and refer them to the counsellors for prompt follow-up.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

(a)Education: A Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Work, or a related Social Science field.

(b)Experience: At least 3 years of counselling experience working with youths (12–18 years old) in a school, residential home, or community center

(c)Soft Skills:

-High EmotionalIntelligence: Ability toremain calm and empathetic in high-stress or confrontational situations.

-Communication:Able to speak the "languageof youth", build connections while maintaining professional boundaries.

-Resilience: Capacity tohandle setbacks, as progress with students can often be slow.
