Events Executive – Corporate & Government Events (12-Month Contract)

PURPLEFOREST EVENTS PTE. LTD.

ABOUT THE ROLE

At PurpleForest, successful events are delivered by people who take ownership, solve problems and care about getting things right.

As an Events Executive, you will work with experienced managers and project teams while taking responsibility for defined project outcomes and client relationships. You will be involved across the full event lifecycle, from planning and coordination through on-site execution and project closure.

Over the 12-month appointment, you will gain hands-on exposure to corporate and government events while developing your project management, client and commercial capabilities.

This role suits someone who is already comfortable managing their own responsibilities, keeping work moving and following through on commitments. You do not need to come from an events agency, but you should bring the professional maturity, ownership and judgement gained from prior full-time work experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own Project Outcomes: Take responsibility for agreed areas of projects and deliver them accurately, professionally and on time.
  • Build Client Confidence: Understand client requirements, communicate proactively and follow through on commitments.
  • Drive Projects Forward: Coordinate timelines, venues, vendors, logistics and project requirements while keeping track of dependencies and deliverables.
  • Coordinate Event Delivery: Manage operational requirements from planning through on-site execution, ensuring clients, suppliers and project teams are aligned.
  • Solve Problems Proactively: Identify issues early, think through practical solutions and take appropriate action within your scope.
  • Develop Commercial Awareness: Gain exposure to project budgets, quotations and proposals and understand the commercial considerations behind event decisions.
  • Close Projects Well: Follow through on post-event requirements and outstanding matters so that commitments are properly completed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience & Professional Maturity: Minimum 2 years of full-time working experience, with evidence of sustained responsibility, sound professional judgement and the ability to manage your own work.
  • Experience may be in events, project coordination, account servicing, client servicing or another role involving responsibility for projects, timelines, deliverables and multiple stakeholders. Prior events experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Employment Stability: A stable employment track record will be viewed favourably, taking into consideration the nature and circumstances of previous employment.
  • Ownership & Initiative: You take responsibility for outcomes, follow through on commitments and move work forward without waiting for every next step to be assigned. You know when to act independently and when to raise an issue.
  • Professional Accountability: You take responsibility for the quality and completeness of your work, respond constructively to feedback and apply what you learn.
  • Organisation & Communication: You can manage multiple requirements and stakeholders while communicating clearly and professionally with clients, vendors and colleagues.
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: You are resourceful when requirements change and can work through practical solutions while remaining accountable for your responsibilities.

WHAT YOU'LL GAIN

  • Meaningful Project Ownership: Take responsibility for real project outcomes rather than being limited to supporting tasks.
  • Corporate & Government Event Exposure: Work across different event formats, clients, stakeholders and requirements.
  • End-to-End Event Experience: Build experience from planning and client coordination through on-site execution and project closure.
  • Experienced Team Support: Work alongside experienced managers who provide guidance while giving you room to build independence.
  • Client & Commercial Exposure: Develop your understanding of client relationships, project budgets, quotations and proposals.
  • Opportunity to Build Your Scope: You can take on greater responsibility as you demonstrate capability and consistent performance.
