Intern (Risk)

Objective

Support the Risk team in Risk Management, Delegation of Authority (“DoA”) and Insurance activities, including the development of an AI-enabled platform/tool to enhance risk monitoring and provide early warning of emerging risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Support corporate and/or project risk management, including maintenance of the risk register, risk reviews, reporting and research on emerging risks.
• Support quarterly DoA reviews.
• Assist with insurance activities, including renewals and policy administration.
• Support the development and testing of an AI-enabled platform/tool which would:
  • Monitor relevant macroeconomic, geopolitical, energy, regulatory and emerging-risk developments and map such developments against the corporate risk register to identify potentially affected risks;
  • Enable internal risk owners to provide relevant inputs and updates; and
  • Identify and suggest potential risk-rating adjustments for consideration by risk owners, taking into account external developments and internal inputs.
• Support the development of dashboard(s) for quarterly reporting.

Learning Outcomes

Gain practical experience in:

• Risk management, DoA and insurance activities; and
• The application of AI and data analytics to risk management by developing a platform/tool that monitors external developments and identifies their potential relevance to the organisation's risk register(s).

Requirements

• Undergraduate in any field of studies.
• Interest in current affairs, economics, energy markets and/or risk management would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
