Production Engineer (Precision Machining & Continuous Improvement) | Manufacturing | East

Job Responsibilities

• Drive machining process improvements to optimise cycle time, tooling, setup efficiency, process stability, quality and manufacturing costs
• Provide hands-on technical support to resolve daily production issues, troubleshoot machining problems, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Take ownership of Mazak machining processes, tooling, fixtures, process control and job loading coordination to optimise machine utilisation and production output
• Work closely with operators on shopfloor process optimisation
• Design and improve machining fixtures, coordinate fabrication, and follow up on testing, validation and implementation
• Lead and follow up on Continuous Improvement (CI) and Six Sigma projects focusing on productivity, quality, waste reduction, setup time and manufacturing efficiency
• Analyse ERP production data to identify performance gaps, process inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, and drive data-driven corrective actions
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality and Engineering teams to resolve operational issues and ensure smooth production execution

• Diploma in Precision Machining, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 3 years of working experience in a precision engineering environment
• Familiar with machining processes (milling, turning, lathe, grinding, sheet metal operations) is an added advantage
• Familiar with metal fabrication processes such as welding, sheet metal work and surface treatment
• Proficient in mechanical CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, MasterCAM or HyperMill)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and willingness to learn new software applications
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in manufacturing processes
• Good working attitude, disciplined and systematic
