Investment Analyst (Financial Modelling)

The Company

Our client, a private equity firm, is seeking an investment professional to evaluate opportunities and drive transactions across the technology and AI sectors.

The Role

Working closely with the Director of Investment, you will be involved in hands-on transaction work with industry research, deal sourcing, and post-investment support, with key responsibilities listed below:

• Build financial models, perform valuations and assess potential investments.

• Support deal execution, including due diligence, investment papers, transaction structuring and completion.

• Research emerging themes across enterprise SaaS, AI applications, semiconductors and cloud infrastructure.

• Develop sourcing relationships and monitor portfolio performance to identify risks and growth opportunities.

Your Profile

• Around 5 years of relevant experience, including 2–3 years in direct investment or M&A.

• Strong financial analysis, valuation and modelling skills, including LBO modelling.

• Experience in investment banking, PE/VC, transaction advisory, consulting or corporate investments, with hands-on transaction exposure.

• An interest in technology and AI, alongside the ability to work independently and take ownership.

• Strong English communication skills; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage for engagement with China and Hong Kong stakeholders.

  Candidates will be required to complete a financial modelling test as part of the selection process.
