Low Code Engineer (OutSystems & Enterprise Applications)

About the Role

We are looking for a Low Code Engineer to design, develop, customize, and support enterprise-grade low-code applications and digital services. This role focuses on delivering scalable business applications while collaborating closely with business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, test, and deploy low-code applications.
• Build scalable and maintainable enterprise solutions.
• Customize and enhance applications to support evolving business requirements.
• Deliver high-quality technical solutions based on functional specifications.

System Integration

• Develop integrations with enterprise applications, external systems, APIs, and databases.
• Ensure reliable and secure data flow across business platforms.

Technical Design & Implementation

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in technical design discussions and solution reviews.
• Produce technical documentation and system specifications.
• Ensure applications adhere to architecture, performance, and security standards.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Perform unit testing, system testing, and integration testing.
• Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
• Support defect investigation and remediation activities.

Support & Maintenance

• Provide application support and ongoing maintenance.
• Analyze incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor application performance, availability, and stability.
• Deliver enhancements and system improvements as required.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with business users, functional teams, project managers, architects, and technical stakeholders.
• Participate in requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment activities.

Mandatory Requirements

Experience

• At least 3 years of hands-on application development experience using OutSystems.
• Completed at least one Singapore Government project involving an OutSystems-based production system with a total project or contract value of at least S$5 million.
• Experience supporting at least one production application after go-live, including incident investigation, defect resolution or application enhancement.
• Hands-on experience working with Oracle Database in an application-development or production support environment.
• Experience working with an Enterprise technology environment involving application development and one or more supporting technology areas, such as database, infrastructure, integration, security or identity components.

Additional Mandatory requirements for Senior Consultant

• At least 7 years of hands-on application development experience, including a minimum of 3 years using OutSystems.
• At least 2 years of experience leading technical delivery and/or defining solution architecture
• Led the technical delivery of at least one production application implementation, major system enhancement or migration/modernisation initiative

Technical Skills

• Experience with OutSystems or other enterprise low-code platforms.
• Experience in web application development, Oracle Database, REST API integration, relational databases, SQL, and enterprise system integration.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, application design, performance optimization, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in the following

• Oracle Policy Automation (OPA) / Oracle Intelligent Advisor (OIA)
• Sitefinity CMS
• AWS services, including S3, Lambda, EC2, ELB, CodeDeploy and KMS
• Amazon Linux 2023 and Windows Server 2016/2019
• ADFS, WOG AD, SAML, CAM, Trend Micro FAM and API Gateway
• CI/CD tooling such as GitLab or CodePipeline
• Infrastructure and container security practices
• Observability and monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Datadog, CloudWatch)
• Familiarity with modern cloud-native stacks (ReactJS, Golang, Kubernetes) as a complement to legacy expertise

• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex, ambiguous legacy systems.
