ET13536828 Senior Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager (6 mths contract)

The Company

A well-established organization in the energy and oil & gas sector is currently seeking a 6 months’ contract Assistant Finance Manager to join their dynamic team.

The Role

The Assistant Finance Manager will oversee the full spectrum of finance operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger, as well as month-end closing, financial reporting and regional consolidation across Singapore, Vietnam and Australia.

The role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, reviewing management accounts, overseeing intercompany reconciliations, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also work closely with regional finance teams and business stakeholders, support internal and external audits, strengthen financial controls and drive process improvements to enhance overall finance operations.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate should possess a Degree in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline, with at least 5 to 8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably within a regional or multi-entity environment. Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in AP, AR, GL, month-end closing, financial reporting and consolidation, with exposure to managing regional entities across multiple countries. A good understanding of accounting standards, intercompany transactions, foreign currency translation and statutory compliance is essential. Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel, coupled with strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills, is required. The candidate should be hands-on, meticulous, independent and comfortable managing multiple priorities across different markets.
