Recycling Project Officer

Gratitude Corner is part of the community engagement services, featuring recycling and thrift shop – Gratitude Shop (修福轩). We are seeking a committed team member to support the Gratitude Corner’s day-to-day operations in the areas of inventory management, pricing, sales, and volunteer/external stakeholder engagement etc.

Your Role:

• Support the day-to-day operations in the areas of inventory management, sorting, pricing, sales and Gratitude Shop setup & reinstatement etc.
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate sales records, activities and other related information
• Respond to enquiries regarding recycling matters
• Assist in managing and co-ordinating volunteers and external stakeholders
• Ensure workplace safety and environment cleanliness
• Support and participate in the Monastery event(s)

What You Bring

• Qualification: Min. GCE ‘O’ / ’N’ Level
• Year(s) of Experience: At least 1 year of work experience. Experience in recycling operations, or thrift/retail management is an advantage
• Language(s): Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with English and Mandarin speaking stakeholders
• Required Knowledge/Skill(s): Basic computer skills, Good customer service skills, Effective communication and interpersonal skills, Good organizational and time-management skills
• Good team player with high level of integrity
• Physically fit to perform hands-on recycling work, including sorting and lifting goods
• Able to work on weekend(s), public holiday(s) and irregular working hour(s)
