Job Summary

Develop and support mainframe banking applications, focusing on credit card systems, by collaborating with technical teams and users to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop CICS-COBOL programs according to functional and technical specifications within a development team
• Write detailed program specifications, documentation, and flowcharts to support development and maintenance
• Perform unit testing and system integration testing to ensure software quality and functionality
• Support user acceptance testing by coordinating with users and resolving issues
• Collaborate with technical teams to implement solutions that meet business requirements and align with organizational goals
• Troubleshoot, debug, and provide production support for mainframe banking applications
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve application and system issues promptly
• Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system performance and reliability
• Analyze business requirements by reviewing specifications and assessing their impact on applications
• Execute project tasks related to change requests, maintenance, and new developments

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum 6 years of mainframe development experience in banking systems and credit card domains
• At least 5 years of experience working with the Cardlink system
• Proficient in COBOL, CICS, and EZT programming languages
• Strong working knowledge of credit card systems
• Competent in Microsoft Office products and Microsoft Visio for documentation and communication
• Solid understanding of the system development life cycle
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues
• High attention to detail in coding, testing, and documentation
