Project Analyst, Wine and Business

FICOFI PARTNERS HOLDING PTE. LTD.

This is a project role at the heart of FICOFI’s wine ecosystem. Rather than being anchored in a single team, you will be appointed to projects across the company, running each one end to end for the sponsor who owns it: framing the scope, building the plan, driving the stakeholders and delivering the outcome. Over two years you will build a portfolio of delivered projects and an understanding of the fine wine business from sourcing and procurement through to the member experience, working alongside the senior people who own each of those perimeters.

The programme is designed to prepare participants for the next step in their career, with the ambition of transitioning into a permanent role at a defined grade and scope upon successful completion of the two years.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES

Project management

  • Use experience, expertise, skillset and know how to monitor and support the implementation of strategic projects.
  • Establish a structured approach to each strategic project, covering scope, execution plan and integration plan.
  • Translate project ambition into formalised plans and roadmaps.
  • Build an action plan setting out the stakeholders, their roles and responsibilities, the deadlines and the next steps, then execute it.

Commercial operations and offer development

  • Stock management and pricing strategy: contribute to inventory forecasting, monitor allocation levels and market prices, and support the design of thematic offers in line with stock analysis, seasonal tastings and new vintage releases.
  • Tailor made client approaches and offerings: analyse past purchase history and client wine profiles to help draft personalised offers, and coordinate bespoke first cellar and special occasion proposals.
  • Procurement and allocations support: analyse allocation proposals received from producers, mostly relating to new vintages, and prepare detailed client level allocation analyses. Assist in approving final offers by checking stock availability and issuing instructions to the commercial and operations teams.

Sales strategy, campaigns and events coordination

  • Sales driven campaign planning: contribute to sales campaign calendars, online offers and seasonal promotions, and prepare presentation decks and briefing packs for commercial meetings.
  • Events and trip support: collaborate on the coordination of tasting events, thematic dinners, estate visits and private client trips, and oversee post event deliverables for an end-to-end experience.

Reporting, analysis and distribution support

  • Business acumen and data analysis: produce sales dashboards and financial models, and update our CRM and databases with wine producer content.
  • Distribution reporting: generate distribution studies for wine estates, monitor performance across regions, and provide ongoing analysis of allocation options, purchase option deadlines and market trends.
  • Selective distribution support: prepare and update financial models, automated reports and board presentation materials.

Relationship management and stakeholder communication

  • Internal stakeholder engagement: maintain proactive communication with Sales, Estates, Wines, Marketing and Operations on cross departmental activities, and draft and circulate regular briefings on new vintages, pricing changes, ongoing offers and campaign results.
  • Client facing liaison, indirect: prepare client communications, ensuring clarity and alignment with the brand tone, and act as a central point for client enquiries received via the commercial team. The role carries no front line client handling.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least three years of relevant professional experience, in business, finance, hospitality, oenology, wine trade or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to scope, structure and drive projects across teams, with a track record of formalised plans, roadmaps and delivered outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in additional languages relevant to our regional markets (for example, Mandarin or French) would be an advantage, as this role involves liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders in those markets.
  • Genuine interest and knowledge in fine wine, WSET 2 or 3 valued.
