Junior Sommelier

Responsibilities
- Deliver professional wine service and recommend suitable wines to enhance the guest dining experience.
- Assist guests with wine selections, food pairings, and beverage recommendations.
- Support the Head Sommelier in maintaining the wine list, cellar organization, and inventory control.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and presentation of wines in accordance with service standards.
- Open, decant, and serve wines using correct service techniques.
- Conduct regular stock checks, receive wine deliveries, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Uphold responsible alcohol service standards while maintaining exceptional guest service and teamwork
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Superior from time to time
Requirements
- Prior experience is preferred
- Passion for wine and a willingness to continuously learn and develop professionally
- Friendly, positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Service oriented and passionate working in F&B industry
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Positive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Able to work on weekends and public holidays
- Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
