Job position: Guidance Officer

Salary range: SGD 25 - 32/hour

Contract Period: 15 February to 18 November 2027.

Working hours

Monday and Wednesday, 9:30am to 4:00pm. Tuesday and Thursday, 7:30am to 2:00pm.

Normally Monday to Thursday, up to 26 hours per week. Friday deployment, 7:30am to 2:00pm, may be required by the school. Final weekly scheduling is subject to school confirmation.

The school may vary deployment for examinations, school activities and holidays. No service on public holidays. Estimated total deployment is 1,066 hours.

Requirements

• Registered with MOE by the tender closing date.

• Relevant prior experience supporting at-risk students in educational, community or correctional settings.

• At least three years of demonstrated experience working directly with at-risk youths in educational, community or correctional settings. Primary school experience is an advantage.

• Commitment to supporting children and their development.

Job Scopes

1. Work with the Student Development Team and Head of Student Management to support pupils with disciplinary concerns, irregular attendance or a risk of disengaging from school.

2. Supervise in-house suspension, reintegration and time-out sessions. Use restorative conversations and meaningful reflective activities, and follow up with form teachers on missed sessions.

3. Assist with preliminary fact-finding, student and witness statements, evidence collation and incident reports.

4. Mentor identified pupils, conduct check-ins and campus patrols, and provide targeted social-emotional learning modules and classroom support.

5. Engage parents through calls, meetings and home visits where necessary. Agree on strategies to support positive behaviour and attendance.

6. Maintain confidential case notes, review progress with school staff and support referrals to community agencies with the School Counsellor or Student Welfare Officer.

7. Record late-coming, offences and interventions, compile discipline statistics and support learning continuity during suspension. Carry out related student management administration.
