Senior Analyst - Purchasing and Inventory

As a Senior Analyst - Purchasing and Inventory, you will help optimize inventory and service levels by analyzing inventory needs, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting effective purchasing and inventory control practices. You will serve as a key liaison between internal teams and suppliers, using data and performance metrics to identify opportunities that support a reliable and competitive supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels and recommend stock adjustments based on business needs.
• Analyze inventory data and reports and provide recommendations related to inventory levels, rebalancing, and supplier returns.
• Place and expedite supplier orders to support on-time delivery and help prevent supply disruptions.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers, sales teams, customer service, and other internal partners.
• Partner with customer service and other teams on lead times, pricing, availability, and related inventory needs.
• Communicate order and delivery changes and coordinate rescheduling to help prevent line stoppages.
• Resolve receiving discrepancies, invoicing issues, and other supplier-related concerns.
• Coordinate intercompany and supplier returns.
• Maintain supplier contact information and customer inventory letters of intent.
• Mentor and train developing Purchasing Analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
• 4 years of relevant purchasing, inventory, supply chain, or related experience
• 3 - 5 years of experience expediting orders or deliveries
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret inventory-related data and make recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across departments.
• Ability to build and maintain productive supplier and internal business relationships.
