System Administrator (Integration and Middleware)

We are looking for a System Administrator to support middleware, API and integration environments on a 6-month renewable contract. You will work with application, infrastructure, network, and vendor teams to configure, support, and troubleshoot multi-tier Java platform systems, and keep integrations reliable through implementation, testing, and live operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with multi-tier applications on the Java platform.
• Configure and support middleware, APIs, messaging systems and file-based interfaces.
• Monitor and troubleshoot integration issues, data flow failures and performance bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, network and vendor teams during implementation and support activities.
• Manage end-to-end integration testing, including SIT and UAT support.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams and operational procedures.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of work experience in system administration or system integration.
• Experience with system integration in co-location and cross-country rollouts for a real-time, low-latency application.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to work independently.

Key Technical Skills

• Integration and middleware: JBoss, WebSphere, REST and SOAP APIs, XML and JSON, IBM MQ message queues, SFTP, SSH and Connect:Direct.
• Infrastructure and security: server firewalls, ID setup, Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting, and basic administration and troubleshooting on Microsoft Windows Server.
• Data and delivery: SQL and database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server), and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
