WE ARE HIRING – HEAD CHEF

Position: Head Chef

Employment Type: Full-Time

Industry: Food & Beverage / Restaurant

Oversee and manage all kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations.
Lead, supervise and coordinate the kitchen team, including Sous Chefs, chefs and kitchen assistants.
Plan and oversee food preparation, cooking and presentation according to restaurant standards.
Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, portioning and presentation across all menu items.
Develop new dishes, improve existing recipes and contribute to menu planning.
Manage food costs, kitchen budgets and wastage control.
Monitor inventory, stock levels, purchasing and supplier coordination.
Ensure proper food storage, handling, hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
Establish and maintain standard operating procedures for kitchen operations.
Train, mentor and develop kitchen staff to maintain high performance standards.
Monitor kitchen productivity and ensure efficient manpower allocation.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and relevant regulatory requirements.
Work closely with restaurant management to improve operational efficiency and overall business performance.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in professional kitchen operations.
Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef preferred.
Strong culinary skills and extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques.
Proven leadership and kitchen team management abilities.
Good understanding of food costing, inventory management and wastage control.
Experience in menu development and recipe standardisation.
Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Able to manage kitchen operations independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsible, disciplined and committed to maintaining high food quality standards.
Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
