Oversee and drive improvements to the systems and processes within Materials and Business Effectiveness department to deliver value and ensure

compliance with regulatory, legal, ethical, and sustainability requirements.

Responsibilities


  • Review the Materials and Business Effectiveness operating model, systems, and processes to ensure they deliver value and comply with current Safety, Quality and Ethical requirements. Collaborate with the section managers to ensure the team complies with these Safety, Quality and Ethical Regulations / Practices.
  • Engage and involve the Materials and Business Effectiveness team to drive improvements that strengthen the department’s Safety Quality, Sustainability and Ethical foundation.
  • Oversee the department’s management monitoring (e.g. Safety and Quality self-audits). Ensure that the systems and processes meet the current regulations and practices and procedures are in place and in use.
  • Single point of contact for Materials and Business Effectiveness Department on all Safety, Quality inspections.
  • Support the Site in other inspections (e.g. licensing inspections by the local authorities like National Environment Agency, Singapore Civil Defense Force, Singapore Police Force, Central Narcotic Bureau, Singapore Customs, etc).
  • Be a champion for key Safety, Quality and Continuous Improvement initiatives (e.g. Bowtie, Inspection Readiness, Productivity Improvement Projects, etc) and engage the Logistics team to be actively involved in them
  • Support investigations and problem solving. Apply the GPS, CIF and DMAIC thinking to identify the root cause, develop robust CAPA, deliver improvement to enhance the site's competitive advantage.
  • Seek external inputs (outside view) by working with Logistics Service Providers, Vendors, Pharma Logistics, Procurement, Local Authorities, etc as data for driving CI and benchmarking.
  • Coach and support the Logistics supervisors and technicians to high Safety, Quality and CI performance.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to envisage success and have appropriate indicators to measure it.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience


  • Degree in any related discipline
  • At least 5 years of experience in warehousing/logistics/supply chain management from a large organization (for non-degree professional qualification)
  • Good working knowledge of cGMP, GDP and Safety Standards
  • Good knowledge of GPS, CIF and DMAIC
  • Good understanding of supply chain management from receipt to release
  • Good knowledge of Project Management
  • Effective communication and presentation skills across different levels
  • Working knowledge of Corporate ERP system
  • Commercial knowledge
  • Financial Understanding
  • Trade Compliance
  • Licensing
