About the Role
Violet Oon Singapore is seeking an experienced and hands-on Operations Manager to oversee operational excellence across all our outlets. This is a highly operational and service-focused leadership role, responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations, strong team performance, manpower efficiency, and exceptional guest experiences across the group.
The Operations Manager will work closely with Restaurant Managers, Bar Managers, and outlet leadership teams, while supporting Senior Management in driving operational consistency, service standards, staff development, and overall business performance.
This role is fully ground-operational in nature. The candidate is expected to be actively present on the floor, lead by example, support outlet teams during operational needs, and ensure high standards are consistently maintained across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Service Leadership
- Oversee and support daily outlet operations across assigned outlets
- Be fully hands-on in operations and support service teams during operational periods
- Uphold company-wide service standards and guest experience expectations
- Conduct operational audits and spot checks on SOP compliance, cleanliness, and manpower deployment
- Support operational improvements and service enhancement initiatives
- Oversee VIP events, group bookings, festive operations, and special occasions
Manpower Planning & Team Management
- Oversee manpower planning, deployment, and roster management across outlets
- Work closely with outlet leaders on manpower optimization and labour control
- Mentor and support Restaurant Managers and supervisory teams
- Conduct operational meetings, briefings, coaching, and training sessions
- Monitor staff performance, discipline, and compliance with company policies
- Assist Management and HR on operational manpower matters
Guest Experience & Service Recovery
- Maintain strong floor presence to engage guests and monitor service standards
- Handle escalated guest feedback and complaints professionally
- Ensure consistency in guest experience standards across outlets
- Build relationships with regular guests and VIP customers
Inventory, SOP & Operational Oversight
- Monitor stock management and operational procedures across outlets
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, hygiene standards, and company procedures
- Work closely with Purchasing, Kitchen, and outlet teams for operational coordination
- Review outlet operational reports and escalation matters
Operational Coverage & Business Support
- Provide operational coverage and leadership support when required
- Support outlet openings, manpower shortages, and festive operations
- Participate in process improvements and operational projects
- Work closely with Senior Management on operational performance and business objectives
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in F&B or hospitality operations management, preferably overseeing multiple outlets
- Strong leadership experience in high-volume and fast-paced environments
- Hands-on and service-oriented leadership style
- Strong manpower planning and operational coordination skills
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and people management abilities
- Comfortable working rotational shifts, weekends, and public holidays based on operational requirements
